The Scout highlights the standout statistics, trends and lessons from 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League.

Jarrod Bowen and Jordan Pickford’s displays under their new managers last season indicate they can make a major impact in 2025/26 Fantasy.

Bowen’s prospects for West Ham United were transformed after the arrival of Graham Potter as head coach in Gameweek 20.

The Hammers’ talisman was the FOURTH top-scoring player in Fantasy from that point onwards, producing 103 points, thanks to eight goals and five assists.

All the more impressively, Bowen achieved this in just 15 appearances. Indeed, his average of 6.9 points per match (ppm) during that period was near-identical to the 7.1ppm of Mohamed Salah

While that is likely to earn Bowen a rise in price from his starting cost of £7.5m in 2024/25, his displays under Potter look very encouraging for the campaign ahead.

Top-scoring players in Fantasy, GW20-38
Player Matches G + A Pts per match Pts
Salah 20 17 7.1 142
Mbeumo 19 16 6.3 111
Wissa 19 14 5.5 105
Bowen 15 13 6.9 103

Elsewhere for the Hammers, Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s new role as a wing-back under Potter caught the eye.

His total of five assists from Gameweek 20 onwards ranked FIRST among all defenders in Fantasy.

Meanwhile, the return of David Moyes as Everton manager helped Pickford finish as the top-scoring goalkeeper in Fantasy for a second successive season.

Pickford collected a team-leading 71 points across Moyes’ 19 matches in charge, while defenders Vitalii Mykolenko and Jake O’Brien also finished among their four top performers during that spell, on 65 and 64 points respectively.

The underlying statistics help to show why the Toffees backline regulars can be popular picks in 2025/26 Fantasy.

Everton conceded a mere 28 big chances – or situations where the player is expected to score - after Moyes returned as manager in Gameweek 20.

That total was the BEST in the league during that spell and nearly half their tally of 53 big chances conceded under their previous manager Sean Dyche.

Statistic Dyche Moyes
Matches 19 19
Clean sheets 7 5

Big chances conc. 53 28

Everton forwards Iliman Ndiaye and Beto also impressed with Moyes at the helm and can make a bigger impact next season. Indeed, they averaged 4.8 and 4.6 points per start respectively, compared with the 3.7 of Pickford.

Finally, Wolverhampton Wanderers' showings under Vitor Pereira indicate they can also make an impact at both ends of the pitch in 2025/26 Fantasy.

Wolves claimed SEVEN of their eight clean sheets last season after Pereira was installed as head coach in Gameweek 17.

Wing-back Rayan Ait-Nouri was the second top-scoring player under the Portuguese boss, combining a goal and four assists with six clean sheets to collect 85 points.

But with rumours growing of a move away from Molineux for the Algerian, goalkeeper Jose Sa could be a great budget pick instead. He picked up 78 points for Pereira, just seven behind Ait-Nouri.

Up front, meanwhile, the departure of Matheus Cunha looks encouraging for the prospects of Jorgen Strand Larsen

The latter scored eight goals and supplied two assists from Gameweek 17 onwards, and is now expected to be Wolves' first-choice penalty-taker following Cunha's move to Manchester United

Player G + A Clean sheets  Pts per start Pts
Cunha 11 N/A 5.7 89
Ait-Nouri 5 6 4.0 85
Strand Larsen 10 N/A 4.6 78
